Devices under attack: ID theft center warns more hacks are putting you at risk

(WSPA) – There’s a new and concerning trend when it comes to identity theft. A growing number of people who don’t fall victim to scams are finding their devices have been compromised, according to the Identity Theft Resource Center.    

7NEWS Here to Help looked into one Upstate woman’s warning and what you can do to ward off hackers.

It would be hard to impersonate someone like Tracey Miller in real life. She is not only a nurse practitioner with several degrees and certifications but also owns her own practice and even teaches at a University.  

Still, in the digital world, identity thieves may prefer a busy person.
