Police: Robber used note on elementary school worksheet to demand money from Versailles bank

WTAE

A bank robbery suspect has been arrested nearly a week after allegedly stealing $3,000.

Police said Keith Graves Jr. entered the Century Heritage Federal Credit Union at the Olympia Shopping Center in Versailles, pointed a gun at the tellers, and made off with the money.

"The note was written on the back of a child's vocabulary study guide. Through investigative measures, we were able to track that note back to a local area school who presented that curriculum to the children," Scott Klobchar with the Allegheny County Police Department said.

Investigators said Graves fled the scene at the bank on an electric scooter and remained on the run for almost a week.
