Man accused of armed robbery at Richland County bank arrested

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) arrested a man accused of armed robbery at a bank.

The robbery happened on Oct. 15 at the First Citizens Bank on Parklane Road.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they were told a man identified as Willie Lee Moses II, walked into the bank and presented a handwritten note to the teller stating that this was an armed robbery and demanded money.

Deputies said Moses left the bank with money before deputies arrived.

Deputies identified Moses and put a warrant on him for the robbery.

He was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 19 after deputies responded to a civil disturbance at Zimalcrest Drive. Moses was identified as the suspect creating a disturbance and was taken into custody.
