Man wanted in series of bank robberies across central North Carolina, police say

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) – A man wanted in a bank robbery in Granville County over the weekend has struck again in Chapel Hill.
According to the Chapel Hill Police Department, officers responded at around 1:10 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a robbery at the Bank of America at 100 Banks Dr.
An investigation revealed that 52-year-old Johnathan Lemount Florence walked into the bank, implied that he had a gun, and demanded money before leaving the scene, police said. No injuries were reported.
