Man arrested for armed robbery after foot chase with police in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — A man was arrested after police responded to a "robbery in progress" call in Birmingham early Saturday afternoon.
The Birmingham Police Department said 26-year-old Quinton Shell was charged with first-degree robbery with a firearm.
South Precinct officers were dispatched to the call in the 4600 Block of 13th Avenue North around 12:45 p.m.
