Cyberattacks are not stopping

In an increasingly digitized world, cybersecurity has become a crucial component in protecting the integrity, confidentiality and availability of online information.
According to the World Economic Forum Global Risks 2023-2024, cyber-attacks are the fifth leading threat globally. It also highlights that 95% of cyber-attack events are derived from human error and that one out of every three companies in the world report having suffered a ransomware attack, a type of malicious code that prevents victims to using their computer systems unless they pay a ransom.
Edson Villar, regional Cyber Risk consulting leader for Marsh, said that no company is completely free from a cyberattack today.
