Champaign police seek help after bank robbery on West Springfield Avenue

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WICS) — This week Champaign County Crime Stoppers is seeking assistance from the public regarding a bank robbery.
At 9:09 a.m., Champaign Police were dispatched to Busey Bank, located at 2011 West Springfield Avenue, for a bank robbery.
Upon arrival, officers learned a suspect entered the bank and demanded money while implying he had a firearm. The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of currency.
