Arrest made in one Elgin bank robbery the same week another Elgin bank was held up, FBI says

Sep. 2—The same week the FBI announced a man had been arrested on he charges he robbed an Elgin bank another bank in Elgin was robbed, officials said.
Elgin police said there also was an attempted bank robbery Thursday, the same day a man a man went into the Chase Bank at 1600 Larkin Ave. about 4:30 p.m., implied he had a weapon and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, the FBI said in a news release.
Described as being Black or Hispanic, the suspect in the Chase holdup was wearing blue jeans, a gray shirt and a tan or black hat. A photo taken from suveillance camera video was released by the FBI, which asked for help in identifying him.
