19 year old sentenced to community service for fake ID operation
Valley News Live
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - A man accused of making tens of thousands of dollars off of a fake ID operation in north Fargo has pleaded guilty and was sentenced in the case.
Officers arrested 19-year-old Blaise Bitz in February after a months-long investigation. Officials say Bitz sold more than 500 fake ID’s to underage people in the Fargo area, profiting over $40,000 from the operation.
In Sept. of 2023, Fargo Police say they launched an investigation after the police department got a report of the counterfeiting operation. After getting several search warrants to gather information, police say they were able to arrest Bitz on Feb. 14 at his home in the 1200 block of 14th Ave. N. The press release says, through executing the search warrant, officers were able to seize additional fake ID’s found in his home.
