Signs of employment identity theft and how to protect yourself from being a victim
CBS 17
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A stranger holding a job in your name…it’s called employment identity theft and it’s a growing problem.
It can be hard realizing you’re a victim because your stolen identity may not show up for a long time, but when it does, it can cause you endless problems, just like it did for a New Jersey woman who was the victim of employment identity theft.
Twice, CBS 17 has investigated the case of Jenine Gregory, a woman who had her medical credentials stolen.
