South African organisations are favourite targets for cyber crime gangs. This revelation is not new: numerous reports and studies from insurance underwriters and cyber security firms underscore the concern.
Events on the ground echo their warnings: prominent recent examples include pharmacy retail giant Dischem losing 3.6 million records to a breach and criminals grabbing a staggering 54 million user records from TransUnion.
