Building Your Fraud Department - Best Practices Group

FRPA, UMACHA & SFE

Webinar

We are excited to invite you to join our 'Building Your Fraud Department – Best Practices' Group, a no-cost, ongoing education initiative open to members and partners of UMACHA, SFE, and the Security and Financial Crimes Groups.

This group, hosted by the Financial and Retailers Protection Association (FRPA) in collaboration with UMACHA and SFE, provides financial institutions with a platform to discuss building or expanding their fraud departments.  We will share best practices and discuss investigative challenges as a group.

Who Should Join?

  • Institutions are starting to build or expand their internal fraud and investigative departments.
  • Those interested in learning from experienced professionals (ones who have built a fraud unit) and refining their fraud prevention strategies
  • Financial institutions with established fraud teams (over the past eight years) who are willing to mentor others

Expectations & Benefits:

  • Virtual one-hour sessions featuring peer discussions on challenges, lessons learned, investigative priorities, and processing streams.
  • Active participation is encouraged to foster meaningful collaboration.
  • FRPA will take meeting notes to help institutions implement best practices tailored to their needs and share them with their executive team for support.

Our first virtual meeting will take place on June 25, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM (Zoom link to be sent), followed by additional meeting discussions on fraud prevention strategies. Given the varying stages of fraud department development, we expect insightful conversations to benefit institutions of all sizes.

We look forward to growing and strengthening fraud prevention efforts together. Please feel free to share this invitation with other professionals who may find value in these discussions.
