BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - A former office manager in Baldwin County has been charged by federal officials with stealing more than $895,000 from the Social Security Administration and a Baldwin County soil‑testing business where he worked.
Records show Gregory Anderson, also known as Gregory Leffler, is charged with theft of government money, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
Prosecutors say Anderson received about $61,609 in Social Security Disability Insurance benefits he was not entitled to between 2018 and 2023. While collecting disability, investigators say he worked as an office manager for a residential and commercial soil‑testing company in Baldwin County and failed to report his income, which exceeded federal limits.
