Police investigate armored car robbery outside bank near Omaha shopping center

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha Police say armored car personnel were robbed at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon outside a bank west of the L Street Marketplace.

The call came just after 11 a.m. at the First Interstate Bank near 126th and K plazas, across the street from the popular shopping center. Officers arrived at 11:19 a.m.

Later at the scene, OPD Lt. Kyle Steffen told First Alert 6 that armed suspects wearing masks approached Rochester Armored Car Company personnel while they were refilling an ATM at the bank.
