STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — A fake federal agent was unmasked in Stuart after allegedly trying to collect $40,000 from a victim, linked to a massive fraud ring.
The Stuart Police Department (SPD) says that detective work, assistance from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, and collaboration with statewide prosecutors led to the takedown of suspects behind a massive fraud ring targeting Floridians.
