MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Police on Thursday announced the arrest of a 22-year-old man who they said robbed the same East Memphis bank twice within a one-month span earlier this year.
Sherman Weakley was arrested Dec. 17 and charged with three counts of aggravated robbery and evading arrest on foot, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD). His bond was set at $200,000.
The first robbery happened Oct. 2 at First South Financial Credit Union on the Highland Strip. There, police said Weakley pointed a gun at a bank clerk, demanded money and took off with cash.
