A Green Bay woman is facing 72 years in prison after being arrested on thirteen charges after a string of checks were proven to be forged.
35-year-old Samantha Johnson is facing a total of eleven felony counts of Uttering a Forgery, Felony Fraud Against a Financial Institution, and Misdemeanor Fraud Against Financial Institution.
Police reports indicate that there were multiple instances where Johnson made out bad checks.
The first four were submitted over a two-day span in August of 2022 and totaled $3,350. She had allegedly opened up an account at a credit union in Green Bay around that time and tried to deposit the checks, which were supposedly written by a company.
