FALMOUTH, Mass. —
Authorities in Massachusetts are searching for a man who showed a gun and made a bomb threat in order to rob a Cape Cod bank before stealing a vehicle to flee the scene.
Falmouth police said the armed robbery happened at about 9 a.m. Saturday at the Rockland Trust Bank at 20 Davis Straits in Falmouth.
According to police, the man demanded money from a bank teller while brandishing a handgun and claiming to have a bomb.
The bank teller then handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of money before he stole a customer's vehicle and fled the scene, police said.
