MADEIRA, Ohio (WXIX) - Mail fraud and check fraud have hit a local church, according to the senior warden of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Barry Feist says he initially stopped using the USPS blue boxes outside the Madeira Post Office because he’d heard about reports of thefts. He was using the church’s own mailbox instead.
But the mail wasn’t always getting picked up, he says, causing the church to have late bills. So Feist says he was forced to go back to using the blue boxes—and it’s a decision the church is now paying for.
“Pretty upset,” Feist said. “Feel pretty victimized.”
