DETROIT – A convicted “serial bank robber” has been sentenced to nearly six years in prison after admitting to stealing the identities of 10 people to open fraudulent credit accounts and then spending $119,000 on them, officials announced.
According to the Department of Justice, Rynell Roberts, 39, of Redford, was sentenced to 71 months in federal prison for bank fraud by the honorable Sean F. Cox, chief judge for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Roberts was also ordered to pay $119,000 in restitution.
