Why your phone is suddenly bombarded with scam calls, how to stop it
Fox 25
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Our phones are ringing and now more than before the coronavirus pandemic, it can be a robocall or scam.
A new survey of four thousand people points to a spike in these calls, and even a feeling of harassment. with people getting more than three attacks a day.
Even with caller id built into cellphones, it can be tough to know a call is a scam before answering the phone.
“What I see personally is that I will get a phone call from a very similar number, and a lot of the times it is local to my area code,” says Matt Zajechowski, Digital Third Coast content strategist.
