Congress returns, gets back to work on cybersecurity

WELCOME BACK, WELCOME BACK, WELCOME BACK — The lame-duck Congress is here, and it jumps right back into the cybers this week with a pair of hearings on Wednesday. A House Armed Services subcommittee and House Homeland Security subcommittee hold a joint hearing on cyber cooperation between DHS and DoD, featuring the top cyber officials at both departments: National Protection and Programs Directorate Undersecretary Chris Krebs and Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity and Communications Jeanette Manfra for DHS, alongside DoD’s principal cyber adviser, Kenneth Rapuano.
