Fraud symposium educates local financial institutions

MARQUETTE-- Financial institutions from around the U.P. met today for the Upper Midwest Automated Clearing House Association's Fraud Symposium.

They were educated on signs of fraud as well as what to do if they suspect it. Organizers say some forms of fraud seen more in the U.P. include counterfeit bill, mail fraud and what's commonly known as the 'grandparent scam.'
