Mequon police seek suspect in Landmark Bank robbery

Mequon, WI

MEQUON — The Mequon Police Department and several neighboring law enforcement agencies are searching for a woman who robbed Landmark Credit Union Wednesday morning.

At approximately 10:20 a.m., officers were dispatched to the bank located in the 10800 block of North Port Washington Road for a reported robbery. Police said a woman walked into the bank and gave a note to the teller demanding money, implying that she had a gun.

The woman then left the bank and fled south on foot, according to police. No injuries were reported. Mequon Police deployed K-9 Yukon in the area to track the suspect, but he was unsuccessful. Based on the suspect’s track, officers believe she entered a vehicle not too far from the bank.

The department was assisted by the Bayside Police Department, the River Hills Police Department and the FBI Milwaukee Office.
