It's tradition at this time of year for security and tech experts alike to predict the trends for the year ahead. We do so to help inform our strategies and focus on the areas that will be most important for our businesses. But following the events of 2020, are any of us willing to place a bet on what the next 12 months have in store?
This time last year, none of us predicted the events that unfolded in 2020. We didn't think mandatory work-from-home arrangements would create entirely distributed workforces and accelerate the remote work trend by decades. Nor did we foresee how quickly hackers would respond to global trends to advance their phishing campaigns, using new techniques to target vulnerable people on a significantly large scale.
