'Deadpool' robber drops money bag after dye pack explosion, Madison police say

A robber wearing a mask of the comic book superhero Deadpool robbed a Far West Side bank Friday, but dropped the money bag when packs of dye exploded in the bag.

The robbery happened at 5 p.m. at Old National Bank, 333 S. Westfield Road, Madison police said.

The suspect entered the bank and ordered a teller to hand over the money.

"He jumped on a counter and became more demanding because he thought the employee was moving too slowly," said police spokesman Joel DeSpain.
